In the dojo, students can learn the full range of Genbukan martial arts. Several types of classes are routinely offered:
- Core Systems Training classes provide instruction in the GWNF-KJJR martial arts, with rank testing in these arts. Typically, this 2-hour class is divided into two parts, with Part 1 devoted to the core unarmed martial arts and Part 2 devoted to the core sword and staff martial arts.
- Morning Jo classes focus on a small set of basic staff forms that provide an introduction to the Japanese combat staff as well as the perfect early morning exercise routine.
- Supplemental Training classes offer students an opportunity to practice solo combat forms alongside an instructor. The focus of these 1-hour classes is on mastery of solo unarmed, sword, and staff forms.

REMOTE LEARNING
In addition to in-person classes, we offer students the opportunity to attend certain classes remotely. Remote learning provides students with a convenient, low-cost way to participate in training. One important prerequisite: participants must have sufficient space to actually participate in a class. Also, students who plan to receive rank in a particular GWNF-KJJR "core" system must be willing to follow a hybrid learning model, which includes occasional in-person attendance at Core classes or Training Camps. Begin by contacting the dojo-cho to discuss your interests and options.
